Our Note: The heat level’s fine, but it’s hardly worthy of the “must be strong to handle this sauce” text on the label. I reach for this when I’m eating everyday pasta and rice dishes, as it’s not overpoweringly flavoursome and adds a mild note of background heat. If you take it off the spoon you’ll get a hab burn on the top of the throat and tip of the tongue, but it dies away quickly.
